Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom featuring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard opened last weekend with a big bang. A lot of people were excited to see how this film would measure up to the others in the series. In the film, our protagonists Owen and Claire return to the fictional Isla Nublar to save dinosaurs from a volcanic eruption set to begin at any time. However, the gang's plans to transplant the dinosaurs onto a safe island are foiled by a group of opportunistic bad guys plotting to use the dinosaurs for their own gain.

While I found the story line to be predictable and a mishmash of previous Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies, I still found it enjoyable. Let's face it. This is what we want: to pay money to go to the theater and watch dinosaurs in all their glory. We laugh, we cry, we're scared silly, and then we go home to our comfortable beds knowing that we're safe and the dinosaurs we've come to know and love are buried deep in layers of the past.
