A Quiet Place

Pure entertainment at its finest. The actors were superb. Emily Blunt played wonderfully as wife and mother. The children played by Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe convinced the audience to believe in this universe and to be very, very quiet. They made the audience feel like children again, too.

This film reminded me of 1950's films like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" or "The War of the Worlds." It had an innocent, wholesome feel, and imaginative qualities to it that many new horror films lack. I think it's because it never took itself too seriously and invited the audience to participate, too. John Krasinski carried this film. As writer, director, and actor, he was able to create a world where family is at the center and we, the audience, were rooting for this family to survive.

I recommend this film for anyone who likes scary movies and enjoys a good story. You will not be disappointed!
