It's a fast-paced sci-fi film with all the good, juicy bits. It feels like a war flick with a gritty feel and crass humor thrown in.
The premise: A sniper discovers a flying saucer while on a mission in Central America. The creature attacks him and his men and he's able to fight back by using the alien's own technology which he found at the crash site. He mails the tech back home to the States where his autistic son, Rory, finds the tech and learns how to use it causing a ripple effect that sends an even more dangerous alien to earth.
I found the film to be entertaining and enjoyed the comedic relief. However, I did leave the theater wanting to know more about the characters and the aliens. I felt that the story was missing some important parts.
