Guy Ritchie's THE GENTLEMEN are implacable and phenomenally fun to watch

Guy Ritchie's new film, THE GENTLEMEN is as irreverent and uncouth as one would expect it to be given the nature of his subjects--mobsters and crime bosses in the underbelly of an illegal drug market in England. The film features a star studded cast including: Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant.

The story begins with Hugh Grant telling a sordid tale to an uncomfortable audience and we soon learn that this tale is in fact, a list of factual events that everyone in the room has been a party to.

However, despite the sometimes racist humor and the language, Guy Ritchie elevates the tale to a place that sets it on par with great comedies, as he reveals the gentile side and the morale considerations of his subjects taking them from a place of seediness to cultured charm and reverence.
