TROOP ZERO Hits all the Right Emotional Notes


Featuring outstanding performances from Mckenna Grace, Viola Davis, Jim Gaffigan and Allison Janney, TROOP ZERO is about misfits from a trailer park in 1970's Georgia including a girl obsessed with space travel and aliens (Mckenna Grace) and her father,  (Jim Gaffigan) a poor attorney who can't seem to get paid for his work. Miss Rayleen (Viola Davis) plays his assistant who is struggling with her own life choices including a decision to forgo law school, one which she begins to deeply regret. TROOP ZERO hits all the right emotional notes and shows a Southern community trying to come to grips with who they are. It's a film about self acceptance and imperfection, but most importantly, it's about the importance of finding a community that loves and supports you for who you are.
