THE CALL OF THE WILD LEAVES US WITH A BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY

THE CALL OF THE WILD is a new action adventure film directed by Chris Sanders featuring Harrison Ford. It's based on Jack London's adventure novel about the Alaskan wilderness.

The plot follows Buck, a happy pup who lives in a classic Victorian with his family in California. Buck's life is traumatically changed when he's kidnapped by a greedy man and sold along with many other dogs and taken to Alaska where the new Western frontier is and men are hungry for gold. Buck becomes a part of the U.S. mail delivery dog sled team and discovers adventure in the great outdoors.

The movie has some wonderful elements to it, namely the relationship between Ford and the dog, Buck.

It's a tender-hearted film with many wonderful elements. However, the CGI was extremely distracting. Overall, this adaptation of THE CALL OF THE WILD is good and provides a message that's necessary for today's world. Harrison Ford says it best while trekking through the Alaskan wilderness with Buck.

"We come and go don't we? But this--this is always here."
